Litigation Success Update
We are excited to announce that the Superior Court for the District of Columbia recently granted our motion to dismiss a baseless lawsuit filed against our client after we successfully advocated that the plaintiff failed to state any viable legal claims.
The plaintiff sued five health care workers seeking damages for the intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, and negligence, but failed to specifically allege how our client caused any harm to her. After a hearing on the matter, the court agreed and subsequently dismissed the complaint with prejudice upon finding that any attempt to cure the pleading defects would be futile.
